MK currently supplies several established diaper brands across North America and Europe. In 2017, as part of a strategic investment in environmentally friendly products, MK launched Eco Boom, an eco-friendly diaper brand that has grown rapidly in the eco-friendly diaper market. The establishment of Eco Boom marked a significant step in MK’s strategy in the field of environmentally friendly products. In 2017, Eco Boom launched its first bamboo diaper, which was well-received in the market. The brand has since expanded its product line, covering various categories such as bamboo baby diapers, pull-up pants, wet wipes and toilet paper, among others. Additionally, the brand’s sales network currently extends to regions such as North America, Europe, Southeast Asia and Australia. Stefan Cai, the founder of MK, has over 10 years of management experience in the diaper industry. Throughout his career, he observed the deficiencies of traditional diapers in terms of environmental protection and skin health. After his son was born, Cai personally experienced the environmental issues caused by the extensive use of diapers and the potential impact of plastic components on infants’ skin. This experience led him to consider ways to utilize his professional knowledge to develop more environmentally friendly and healthier diaper products. At that time, global awareness of environmental protection was emerging, and consumers’ demand for eco-friendly products was on the rise. However, the application of bamboo fiber in diapers was still a brand-new field. Cai recognized this market gap and decided to introduce bamboo fiber into diaper products. Fortunately, upon their launch, Eco Boom’s bamboo products resonated with consumers due to their environmentally friendly features and excellent comfort, allowing the brand to quickly establish a presence in the market. Eco Boom’s current product range includes bamboo baby diapers and pull-up pants, which feature 100% biodegradable bamboo viscose fiber in the topsheet and backsheet, and FSC-certified wood pulp in the absorbent core; bamboo wet wipes made from 100% biodegradable bamboo viscose nonwoven fabric; bamboo toilet paper and virgin wood pulp pocket tissues. Beyond these offerings, MK continuously innovates to meet the needs of different markets and customers. In new material development, the company has successively introduced nonwoven materials containing bamboo and cotton. “These materials not only contribute to environmental protection but also offer better softness and comfort, while optimizing product costs,” says Cai. The company also developed a bamboo charcoal series, characterized by its distinctive pure black appearance and odor-removing and adsorption properties. According to Cai, the bamboo charcoal series has led the trend of high-end care products. MK is redefining its collaboration model with global brands and retailers by positioning itself as a “full-chain partner in the field of eco-friendly hygiene products.” Cai explains, “We are not just a manufacturer but a deep collaborator from market insight to product commercialization. Through cutting-edge consumer trend research, we provide partners with customized product development solutions—spanning material innovation, formula optimization, and packaging design—to deliver end-to-end services covering ‘demand insight, prototype development and mass production implementation.’” Over the next three to five years, MK will focus on its core goal of “partner success.” By deepening supply chain integration to reduce overall costs and strengthening the material innovation capabilities of its R&D center, the company aims to become a trusted “product innovation partner” for more eco-conscious brands and retailers.
